Natural Health and Beauty - How to Feel Good in Three Easy Steps

Sometimes life gets in your way and no matter how much you try to look after yourself, you just don't have the time or money to go to a spa and be pampered.

Have you noticed how good you feel when you leave the hairdressers, or have a manicure? You feel lighter and radiate from the inside out. Or maybe you meet your work colleagues for a night out after a heavy day at work and return home refreshed and glad to reconnect with your colleagues on a different level.

Taking time to look after yourself, to reconnect and renew relationships with family, friends and loved ones helps you to stay grounded, to feel alive and more in the flow of life.

How often have you said to yourself 'I don't have time, energy or money to look after myself?' If this sounds like you, here are three easy ways to ensure you have the energy, time and money to always care for yourself.

1. When you wake up, spend the first few minutes of your day laying in bed. Focus on your breathing and just listen to the way you are breathing, listen to the sounds you can hear in and around your room, just listen and breathe. Turn your attention to the thoughts flowing through your mind and just for a few moments, make a conscious effort to think of three things going on in your life which makes you feel glad and happy or three things you can do today that captures the joy and beauty in your life. Breathe deeply and see yourself completing these projects and allow that feel good feeling to flow through your body.

2. Create space in your day to stop and feel the beauty and sacredness of nature. Even if you live in a busy inner city like I do, look for the beauty and intricate patterns of the buildings and shop windows. Every time you find yourself sinking into negativity make an effort to tune in to your heart and remember how good and great you felt laying in bed that morning. Use that early morning experience as an anchor to keep you feeling buoyant and energised during your day.

3. Before you go to bed, spend a few moments in quiet reflection reviewing your day. During this time, again focus on your breath, allow your mind to scan through your day, what were the high points and low points? What did you do, where did you go, and who did you meet who made you feel complete, whole and happy? Say a quiet thank you for all these moments and just know that as you give thanks you are setting yourself up to receive more love, light and beauty in your life.

The more time you spend focusing on the above three points, the easier it becomes for you to feel you have the space, time and energy to pamper, care and nurture your mind, body and soul. Be gentle on yourself and please, let me know which of the three points you find most useful.
